Ulster Championship Draw Live on RTE Television 8:00pm Tonight

While the attention of many GAA fans will be on the weekend’s Power NI Senior Championship fixtures this weekend, perhaps quite a few of them will be turning their minds to RTE television at 8:00pm tonight. The reason being that the draw for the 2012 Ulster Championship will be taking place live from Croke Park this evening and many of us will be keen to see just who Mickey Harte’s side is drawn to face.
Tyrone had a home draw this year against Monaghan to start their campaign but their Ulster Championship campaign ran aground at Clones when they lost to Donegal at the semi final stage. The Tir Chonnail men went on to win the provincial title and will fancy their chances of building on the experience they gained this year. From a Tyrone point of view this will be the first time in sixteen years that the county will be looking forward to a championship season without Brian Dooher on board.
