Harte Stands Tall for Ulster
Sunday 11.12.2016
There might well have been over thirty of the best footballers in Ulster and Munster on show this afternoon in Parnell Park but Peter Harte stood tall amongst his peers as Ulster progressed to the Inter-Provincial Final. The Errigal Ciaran man finished the game with 1-8 of his sides 3-17 total. He was one of six Tyrone men appearing for Ulster the afternoon.
Both Harte and Armagh’s Stefan Campbell who finished with 0-5 hurt the Munster defence throughout the game. Ulster didn’t flow too easily early on and were 0-4 to 0-1 behind inside the opening ten minute. Ulster however his the southerners for 2-7 ahead of the half time break.
Munster played better after in the early part of the second half outscoring Ulster 1-3 to 0-2 with Clare’s Jamie Malone firing home a goal to cut the game to three. Ulster through Harte hit Munster with some brilliant scores to ease his side over the line.
