Dungannon ensured that the Quinns Corner Ulster Intermediate League title stays in Tyrone for at least another twelve months thanks to a thrilling victory over Inniskeen in the final at Oliver Plunkett Park in Emyvale on Sunday afternoon.

The Monaghan men dominated the first half to establish a healthy 1-12 to 0-8 cushion with Ronan and Paul Meegan doing most of the damage on the scoreboard, the latter with the goal. Barry Cassidy, Keifer Morgan and Patrick Quinn with points for the Clarkes.

Cassidy took his personal haul to seven on the restart but with time almost up the Clarkes still trailed by four points. That’s when substitute Matthew McSwiggan came to the fore when he first of all got a goal and then a point before full forward Quinn got a dramatic winner as it finished 1-17 to 1-16
