Loreto Convent Omagh retained their Under 20 Ulster Colleges A title with a very commanding 7-14 to 0-6 win over Tyrone opponents St. Joseph’s Donaghmore at Clogher this afternoon. Playing into a stiff breeze the defending champions made light work of the conditions as they built up a substantial 4-2 to 0-4 half time lead. Terri Mc Cusker rattled in three goals for Loreto and was joined in the goal scoring stakes with two from Eva Hicks and a goal apiece from Ciara Mc Mahon and Nicola Donnelly.
Loreto maintained a tight grip on the game for the whole sixty minutes with some fine points from Emma Collins, Tori Mc Laughlin and Kerry Mc Garvey. For St. Joseph’s it really was a backs to the wall scenario as they faced the Omagh onslaught and the elements as well. Lisa Marie Skeffington and Niamh Mc Nulty battled hard for their side but Omagh just had too much strength on the day and were deservedly crowned Ulster Champions. Emma Collins picked up the Player of The Match Award following an excellent display from the young student.
