Tyrone faced a very talented and thus far unbeaten Wicklow side on Sunday afternoon in the All Ireland under 16 Camogie championship at Eoghan Ruadh Dungannon this afternoon in Dungannon.
On an excellent pitch for Camogie at the Eoghan Ruadh club grounds, it was a very competitive game throughout in windy and wet conditions full of high quality camogie by both squads.
Tyrone started well going ahead during the first quarter with the Wicklow team responding late on with the half time score being Tyrone 3.5 Wicklow 1.1.
In a keenly contested second half, Wicklow fought back with this young Tyrone squad standing firm with determination and skill. As the sun broke out, Tyrone rallied finishing strongly with replacements coming in help deliver more scores to record a very good win and taking the two points on a full time scoreline of Tyrone 5.8 Wicklow 3.2.
