Newtownstewart are into the grade three U16 league final after beating Aghaloo 7-13 to 3-7 at Eskra. Aidan McSorley top scored for the St.Eugenes with 1-6 to his name while Shane Ashenhurst and Daryl McGuigan both weighed in with 2-1 each. Matthew McCollum and Barry Armstrong were the other goal scorers for the winners with Niall Mayse [3], Nevin McNamee [1] and Tiarnan McNamee [1] contributing points. Their opponents in the decider will be Brackaville who accounted for Greencastle in a thrilling encounter at Galbally. The Roes had the wind at their backs in the first half but it was Greencastle who led at the break and when the St.Patricks went five in front they looked likely winners. That’s when Brackaville showed their mettle to chisel out a 3-9 to 2-9 victory. Che O’Donnell scored their three goals as well as a few points with midfielder Rian McHugh getting a couple of scores as well. Rory McElhatton and Brian Casey were outstanding in defence for the winners with Marcus Mackle and Jamie Devlin also playing well while keeper Liam Linden made a couple of great saves.

Owen Roes are into the grade two final after besting Dromore by double scores, 4-12 to 2-6. Cathal McShane, Cathal Kelly, Ronan McNulty and Charles O’Doherty got the goals for the winners with Ryan McAleer, Michael Dooher, Cathal McShane and Sean Dooher all playing well.
Cappagh and Ardboe were tied at the end of normal time and were inseparable even after extra time as the game finished Ardboe 1-15, Cappagh 2-12. There were many talking points in this one but a missed penalty by Cappagh in the last minute of injury time with the rebound being scored by Martin Flanagan ensured the sides finished all square.

Omagh defeated Errigal Ciaran in their clash having built up a 0-8 to 0-2 lead at the break with scores from Michael Flanagan, Aaron Mc Cutcheon, Pauric Murphy, Rionn Mc Kenna and Tiernan Bradley while Patrick O’Neill responded for Errigal. The second half began well for Errigal as they hit three points but Omagh regrouped and points from Caolan Moss and Ruairi Drumm and a Jude Campbell goal saw Omagh through safely to the final.
