Monday 22.08.2011

Killyclogher enjoyed a twelve point win over Strabane in tonight’s under sixteen league game scoring 3-13 to their opponents 1-7. It was a real all round team performance with the winners on top from the very start where they dominated all the key battles across the park. Goal scorers Decky Mc Ginn and Ruairi Meyler will take much of the plaudits for their finishing but they would be the first to acknowledge that every single player contributed positively to what was a fine winning display. Robert Tinney scored 1-4 for the Sigersons.
Coalisland defeated Ardboe 3-10 to 2-10 with Michael Lynn scoring 2-2 for the Rossas with Barry Devlin [3], Michael O’Neill [2], Aidan O’Neill [2] and David Mulgrew their other scorers. Carrickmore defeated Errigal Ciaran 0-12 to 0-10 with Paddy McCrory and Ryan McGarrity scoring four points each with Conan McElduff the man of the match for the winners. Mark Kavanagh(4), Paudge Mc Anenly(3), Eoin Kelly (2) and Padraig Mc Girr (1) got Errigal’s points. Kildress defeated Galbally 3-15 to 3-14 with Johnny Connolly scoring 1-7 for the Wolfe Tones with Luke McGuigan finding the net twice, Ronan Nugent and Ryan Hagan with goals for the Pearses.
Dungannon lost out to a very slick and well drilled Trillick side by five points 1-9 to 0-17 with the bulk of Trillick’s scores being shared between Daire Gallagher and Lee Brennan while others to impress were Stefan Allen, Cathal Reid and James Kelly. Meanwhwile Aghaloo had eleven points to spare over Naomh Padraig winning 4-19 to 2-14. D Robinson and S Mc Fall with 1-5 and 1-4 respectively were Naomh Padraig’s main scorers while their best displays came from A Gavin, D Robinson, O Canavan, R Donnelly and D Davidson. Stewartstown had a very comfortable 4-12 to 0-5 win over their near neighbours Cookstown with Dan Lowe and Macauly Quinn scoring 3-8 between them. Conor Quinn also found the net while Mark O’Neill, Shay O’Neill and James Lowe landed points for the Harps. There were also solid displays from Shane Whitehouse, John Lee, Paddy Bleeks, Darren Devlin and Shay O’Neill.
Omagh St Endas enjoyed a convincing win over a depleted Loughmacrory side by 3-19 to 0-6. The county town side had built up a ten point lead by the break 0-12 to 0-2 and were always in control of this one. Aaron Mc Cutcheon, Diarmuid O’Doherty, Joachim Smyth, Daniel Mullan, Pauric Murphy and Eoin Mc Grath were all on target during that opening thirty minute period. St Endas continued to dominate the game during the second half and goals from Tiernan Bradley, Diarmuid O’Doherty and Pauric Murphy put a real gloss on what was a very comfortable victory.
