Omagh enjoyed a derby win over Cappagh tonight with their goal scoring ability proving the difference between the two sides. The game finished 3-9 to 0-12 in favour of St Endas and the winners were greatly indebted to goalkeeper Niall Mc Crory who produced a superb display to ensure his team held on for victory and did not concede any goals. The teams were level 1-4 to 0-7 at the break with Omagh’s goal coming from Aaron Mc Cutcheon. The same player also found the net in the second half while Tiernan Bradley got his team’s other goal. Points from Bradley, Michael Flanagan and Jude Campbell enabled Omagh to hold on for a hard fought but deserved win over their great rivals.

Errigal Ciaran had a narrow 3-9 to 1-14 win over a gallant Loughmacrory side this evening with Paudge Mc Anenly top scoring for his side with 2-5. Patrick O’Neill 0-3, Niall Kelly 1-0 and Padraig Mc Girr 0-1 were also on target for the winners  with all three playing well while Peter Cassidy’s also produced an excellent performance for the winners.

Local rivals Cookstown and Kildress met tonight in what turned out to be a very one sided game with the Wolfe Tones winning 5-23 to 0-5. In what was a fine all round team display top scorers for the winners were Johnny Connelly 1-8, Caolan Loughran and Luke Mc Guigan 2-1 apiece while Francis Og Quinn knocked over five points for Kildress.
