Tyrone under 20 hurlers played out an entertaining draw with Cavan in their second league outing of the season. In a close and hard fought game it took a bit of nerve and an equalising free late in the game from Conal Mc Kee to level it on a final score of Tyrone 2-8, Cavan 1-11.
Two AJ Mc Cann points and a Turlough Mullin goal helped Tyrone reach the break trailing by three. However the sides were level six minutes into the second half after a point from Mc Kee and two points off the stick of the impressive Mullin.
Tyrone moved ahead when Mullin bagged his second goal of the game but Cavan never stopped working and when Tyrone lost a man with eight minutes to go the Breffni men made them pay. Cavan bounced back to lead by one and It took that late converted free from Mc Kee to salvage a draw.
