Winners were presented with their prizes by Mickey Harte, Conor McAliskey, Kyle Coney and Matthew Donnelly of the Tyrone Senior Football and Damian Casey, the Tyrone Hurling captain. The prizes were for designing posters that best demonstrated ‘what a healthy club looks like and means to them’

Tyrone Health and Wellbeing Sub-committee Secretary Bronagh Carney said: “The health and wellbeing subcommittee work to promote positive health and wellbeing in our local clubs and communities. This has been the first year we have invited local schools to help us communicate this in a visual way.

Bronagh continues ‘We have been overwhelmed with the quality of entries, the panel of judges had a very difficult task with over 75 young people submitting entries from 8 local schools and the Committee thank all schools and their pupils who took the time to prepare and submit entries. All entries are currently in display in the Garvaghy Centre until the end of June”

Health and Wellbeing is a priority area of work for Tyrone GAA. Clubs are continually encouraged to promote healthy lifestyle messages to players and members.
