Will It Really Be A Close Shave?

Well it is not quite a clash of the Neanderthals as some might see it but it has all the hallmarks of a throwback to a time in the past. When Tyrone won the All Ireland in 2008 several of the payers grew beards as they took on the appearance of nomadic tribesmen on a shared quest for glory. Among these bearded warriors of course were Joe Mc Mahon and Ryan Mc Menamin who will be in opposition this weekend when their club teams meet in the semi final of the Power NI Senior Championship. It now seems like the beards have returned and Joe has been joined in the “no shave” category by his younger brother Justin.
It will be interesting to see if there is any change to their facial appearances come Sunday afternoon in Pomeroy but whichever side wins, be it by a whisker or just a close shave, it is hard to imagine the razor getting a run out before the final.
