Win For Eire Ogs
Clogher’s rearranged game with Beragh took place on Monday evening and the Eire Ogs emerged winners on a 2-10 to 1-7 score line. It was honours even at the break with Paul Tierney, Cillian Barkley, Eddie Molloy and Martin Rodgers among the points for their respective sides with Barry McKenna getting a Clogher goal. McKenna and Damian Connolly added a couple of points each for Clogher in the second half before Christopher Devlin got a goal from the penalty spot for the Red Knights to leave two points between the sides. Beragh made a concerted effort to narrow the gap further but left themselves short at the back and were hit with a late major from Fergal McKenna to ensure that the points stayed at home. The Red Knights will rue the sixteen wides, many from scorable chances, they had over the hour but Clogher will be delighted with such a morale boosting win.
