Tyrone v Roscommon Winners To Face The Dubs In Quarter Final

Tyrone will face Roscommon on Saturday or Sunday. There were thoughts that the game was likely to be in Breffni Park Cavan but it would make sense for the CCCC to put it on along with Donegal and Kildare in Croke Park. We’ll know more about that tomorrow. The winners of that game will then face Dublin in the All Ireland Quarter Finals in what is sure to be a run out in Croke Park a week later. Should Tyrone defeat Roscommon they will get a chance to avenge last year’s narrow defeat when the Red Hands shot seventeen wides and lost out to an improving Dublin side. Both these sides have served up some highly entertaining games over the past decade but Mickey Harte will not be taking anything for granted as regards Roscommon and will focus his thoughts and energies towards preparing his team for the challenge that the men from Connaught will present next Saturday.
