Wins For Dromore And Errigal Ciaran In D1

There were wins for Dromore and Errigal Ciaran over Omagh and Edendork respectively on Friday evening. Defending champions Errigal moved two points clear at the top of the table thanks to a 1-18 to 2-6 success over Edendork at Dunmoyle. Damian McDermott got the goal for the hosts as well as a couple of points while wing half back Padraig McGirr was on target three times. Darren Canavan (3), Tommy Canavan (2), Cathal Corrigan (2) and Mark Kavanagh (2) all featured on the score sheet as well for the winners. Full back Donal Maneely got Edendork’s first goal while Stephen Corr got their second late on from the penalty spot while in between Corr and Neil Kilpatrick had points.
Dromore also made home advantage count winning on a 0-17 to 0-8 scoreline. Sean O’Neill weighed in with five points for the winners as did Sean McNabb while Emmett McNabb scored three. Omagh struggled for scores throughout the game although Eamon McMahon got a couple and Dean O’Neill, Thomas Clarke and Cormac Hannigan all raised white flags as well. That victory moves Dromore up to third place in the table on ten points, three off the pace.
