Wins For Fintona & Greencastle In D2

There were two games in Intermediate football played on Sunday afternoon and they resulted in wins for Fintona and and Greencastle over Beragh and Aghyaran respectively. It was a first win of the campaign for the Pearses as they ended the Red Knights unbeaten start to the season. Tiernan Watson and Aidan Donnelly got the Fintona goals with Jared Brogan, Aaron McCarney, Casolan Donnelly and Conan Hegarty among their points. Aaron Treacy bagged the Beragh goal with Martin Rodgers, Conor Owens and Tiernan McCrystal all featuring among their points as it finished 2-22 to 2-13.

Greencastle returned to winning ways thanks to a 2-15 to 1-8 success at Aghyaran. Mark Carson and Enda McKenna got the visitors goals with Sean Warnock, Cahir McCullagh, Sean Conneely  and Ryan Gumley among their points. Caolan McGinity found the net for the St.Davogs with points coming from Eoghan McHugh, Ronan McNamee and Ronan McHugh.
