There were wins for Owen Roes and Errigal Ciaran Thirds over Clogher and Fintona respectively in the double bill of Hunky Dorys Junior championship matches at Killyclogher on Sunday evening. Teenager Cathal McShane gave a scoring exhibition as a very impressive Owen Roes side eased past the Eire Ogs on a 1-19 to 1-7 score line. McShane finished with 1-11 to his name with eight of those points coming from play while his goal was from the penalty spot. Eamon McBride weighed in with a couple of points as well with Ciaran Shields and Paddy McKernan getting  a brace each for Clogher and Marc McConnell notching 1-1.

Substitute Fintan Kelly proved to be the Errigal Ciaran hero as his last minute penalty gave Errigal Ciaran a dramatic 1-10 to 0-12 win over the Pearses. Kelly also contributed three points with Brian Mullan and Emmett Quinn on target as well. It was 0-6 each at the break but when Fintona moved three clear in the closing stages it looked to be a decisive break but Tiffy Quinn’s side had other ideas.  Tommy McGrath top scored for Fintona with three points with Niall Mellon and Bernard Cassidy getting a couple each.
