Intermediate championship favourites Trillick are through to the semi-finals after overcoming Derrylaughan at Carrickmore on Sunday evening on a 0-15 to 1-6 scoreline. The St.Macartans looked the better side early on with Mattie Donnelly and Niall Gormley among their points but a Ciaran Gervin goal in the first half gave the Kevin Barrys the lead. Trillick though didn’t panic with Donnelly taking his personal haul to half a dozen and Gormley and Lee Brennan finishing up with seven points between them. Darragh Carney and Shea Coney had Derrylaughan points but with Proinsias O’Kane outstanding in defence the Reds deservedly booked their place in the last four.

The bumper crowd in attendance for the second game at Carrickmore certainly got their money’s worth as Dromore dethroned County champions Clonoe in an absorbing contest. To say that the O’Rahillys bossed proceedings early on would be an understatement as scores from Connor McAliskey, Colm Doris, Daryl Magee, Dwayne Quinn and Stephen McNulty helped them lead 0-7 to 0-0 after only eleven minutes.

Midfielder Ciaran McCoy eventually opened the St.Dympnas account and they had further scores from Eoin McCusker and Ruairi Sludden but they were denied a couple of goals by the superb Mickey O’Neill as the holders led 0-10 to 0-5 at the break. Quinn increased that advantage on the restart but Dromore refused to throw in the towel. Sludden and McCusker closed the gap with Conor O’Neill being denied a goal by his namesake Mickey. Sean McDonnell closed the gap before Ryan McMenamin levelled matters. With the game in injury time it looked set for a replay until Dromore broke and Colm McCullagh fisted a dramatic winner as it finished 0-14 to 0-13.
