Kildress made home advantage count on Sunday when they produced a fine display to beat Derrylaughan 2-11 to 1-9 in the promotion playoffs. The visitors led early on after Brendan Quinn had scored a penalty but points from Des Treacy, Niall Quinn and Frank McGurk coupled with a Caolan McNamee goal saw the home side lead 1-7 to 1-3 at halftime.
Treacy and Darragh Carney exchanged points on the restart before Kildress midfielder Francis Og Quinn smashed in a brilliant goal. Carney took his personal haul to 0-8, all from frees, but the day belonged to Kildress with Treacy and Niall Quinn getting their final two points.
