There were two games played in Intermediate football on Friday night and they resulted in a win for Clonoe while Drumquin and Aghyaran finished in a stalemate. The Rahillys played host to Aghaloo and they really turned on the style to secure a convincing victory. Tommy Taggert hit 2-5 for the winners with Connor McAliskey contributing 0-9, Rhys Donnelly 1-1 with Ciaran Corr, Declan McClure,. Ronan Corey and Fintan McClure landing 0-10 between them. Jody McGlone, Tiernan Donnelly and Niall Henderson were all on target for the visitors.
Eoghan McHugh converted a two point free deep into injury time to earn Aghyaran a share off the spoils away to newly promoted Drumquin. The Wolfe Tones dominated the first half to lead by five with Oisin Gormley scoring a brace of two pointers and Finnian Patterson a trio of points, McHugh with all three scores for the St.Davogs. McHugh and Gormley traded points in the second half as did Oisin McMenamin and Caolan McGinity before a 4th two pointer of the half from the on song McHugh saved the day for Aghyaran.
