Following a hectic, Action packed Youth Football & Hurling Season, it’s now time to sit down and reflect on the what has been achieved, and by building on the positives of the year just ended, lessons can be learnt and good practices built upon to help make things even more efficient.
As part of this process, County Youth Officer Eugene Mc Connell and The County Youth Sub Committee have organised a Youth Forum in Kelly’s Inn, on Thursday next 11th Nov at 7.30pm. All Clubs are expected to send along The Club Chairperson, Club Secretary, Club P.R.O. and Club Youth Officer.
Four main Topics which will form the basis of the Forum will examine – Youth Gradings – Youth Fixtures – Youth Development Squads – Communications.
Speaking prior to the Proposed Youth night, County Youth Officer, Eugene McConnell stated the focus of the End of Season Youth Forum is to facilitate discussion on topics which have been raised over the course of the season by Club Officials.
It is important to attempt to make things better and review practices with a view to improving any areas which may have caused issues or concerns. By working with the Clubs common ground can be achieved and Clubs can rightly feel they have contributed to any solutions agreed.
The Youth Forum will also provide Clubs who are due to receive Winners or Runners Up medals the opportunity to collect their medals from Donal Magee prior to the start of the meeting.
The entire event is scheduled to last no more than an Hour & Half but will start sharp at 7.30pm, so Clubs should arrive no later than 7.15pm to register.
