Youth Officer Delighted With Response.
Friday 12.11.2010
Following a very well attended and informative Youth Forum in Kelly’s Inn on Thursday night, County Youth Officer Eugene Mc Connell expressed his thanks and satisfaction to all who attended.
A chairde,
As County Youth Officer, I wish to extend my sincere thanks to all the Clubs who turned up last night for the Youth Forum.
Due to the severe weather conditions, I had some reservations as to how the event may have been affected. I need not have worried as
the Clubs responded in fantastic fashion with 39 of the Football Clubs present and 3 of the Hurling Clubs.
There were a number of apologies received due to the adverse weather so all in all the Youth Forum turned out to be a tremendous success. I am also indebted to the many members of the C.C.C. and the Management Committee who took time out to come along and support the event.
The feed back and general response from everyone has been extremely positive and encouraging. The debate was both constructive and thought provoking. The 4 Workshops provided some very detailed viewpoints from accross the wide representation of Clubs.
The clear opinion of all those present was one of praise in virtually all aspects relating to the way Youth Football was being administered. The few areas of debate will no doubt focus the minds of those involved in the promotion of Youth Football.
I want to thank you all for your input to the night and for playing your part in making it the huge success it turned out to be.
Go raibh míle mhaith agaibh
