Trillick and Carrickmore served up a high quality encounter at Clanabogan on Sunday before the Reds took the Grade One U13 title.

Led by Nathan Farry in midfield, Liam Corry at centre forward and wing half back Seán Corry Trillick were forced to dig deep after Carrickmore hit two early second half goals to take the lead for the first time in the game nine minutes into the second half.

Trillick started well with early scores from Nathan Farry and Liam Corry. The Reds were enjoying lots of possession but the Carrickmore defence showed considerable resolve and patience to keep their much vaunted opponents at bay. Goalkeeper Oran Keyes made several superb stops to help keep his side in the game.

Kevin Cuddy, Aidan Woods and Conall Martin scored for Carrickmore who went in at the break trailing by three 0-6 to 0-3 as Trillick added points courtesy of Corry (2), Farry and Eoin Rarchford.

Trillick opened the scoring in the second half with a fine point before Carrickmore bagged their first goal of the game through Shea Munroe. Cathal Kelly added a point for Trillick but Carrickmore were enjoying a period of dominance and netted a second time when Francis Hurson finished to the net.

That goal put Carrickmore ahead for the first time but unfortunately for them it turned out to be their last score of the game. Trillick responded with points from Farry (3), Eoghan Mc Cann and Liam Corry to seal the win and take the title on a final score of 0-13 to 2-3.
