Carrickmore v Clonoe (Tuesday Night)

Despite an uncomfortable early period Dromore ran out comfortable winners at Gardrum Park this afternoon. The opening score of the game came in the shape of goal from Ronan McNabb. Galbally fought back with a point from Sean Murphy before Ciaran McCrory gave the Pearses the lead when he punched the ball to the Dromore net. First half points from Niall Sludden and Sean McDonnell restored the Dromore advantage and they led at the break 1-5 to 1-2. Dromore controlled the second period with Sean McNabb adding a second goal and further points from Ruairi Sludden and Conor O’Neill. Galbally’s three second half points came from Christopher Morris. Final Score – Dromore 2-14 Gabally 1-5

Coalisland made the short trip to Edendork this afternoon and came away with both points thanks to a strong second half performance. The Fianna men were made to work hard in the opening thirty minutes as both sides hit some excellent scores to leave the half time score Edendork 0-5 Coalisland 0-6. The home side had scores from Conor Mallon, Sean Corr, Harry Og Conlon and Con Kilpatrick during that period while Coalisland had Brian Toner and Philip Toner among their scorers. After the break Coalisland dominated possession and had extended the lead 0-10 to 0-5 by the three quarter hour mark. Further scores from Cormac O’Hagan, Sean McNally were followed up by a Cahir Quinn major with five minutes to go. Edendork had just scorer in the second period, Harry Og Conlon adding three points. Coal island’s final score came from Peter Donnelly who swung over a superb point from close to the sideline. Final Score – Edendork 0-8 Coalisland 1-12

Mattie Donnelly hit 1-3 with Lee Brennan contributing five points as County champions Trillick made it three straight wins on the bounce. Des Treacy landed four points for Kildress with Caolan McNamee getting a late goal but they are still waiting to break their duck since returning to the top flight. Final Score – Kildress 1-6 Trillick 1-11

Killyclogher made it three straight wins as well when they emerged emphatic winners over an Eglish side who are still looking for their first points of the campaign. Mark Bradley led the way in the scoring stakes for the St.Marys with 1-3 to his name but not far behind him was Tiernan McCann with 1-2 while James Carlin and Thomas Flanagan got their other goals. Ryan McKenna and Ciaran Colton were among the points in an afternoon to forget for Eglish. Final Score – Killyclogher 4-16 Eglish 0-4

Ardboe made it back to back wins but they were pushed all the way by a Strabane side who have now lost all three of their outings to date. Oisin Devlin got the Rossas goal with Nishy O’Neill hitting half a dozen points. Hayden McNamee got the Strabane goal with Warner Mullan scoring a number of points. Final Score – Ardboe 1-12 Strabane 1-9

Errigal Ciaran remain among the early pacesetters after seeing off local rivals Augher at Dunmoyle. Before the game there was a minutes silence in memory of Seamus Daly with the Augher club resting the number nine jersey for the afternoon, a fitting tribute to a St.Macartans and Tyrone legend. Davy Harte got both goals for the winners with Darren Canavan kicking four points. Daire Kavanagh top scored for Augher with his haul including a goal with Ruairi Cassidy getting their other major. Final Score – Errigal Ciaran 2-14 Augher 2-9

Two first half goals from Barry Tierney and Rory McBride proved to be the difference as Omagh returned to winning ways with a hard fought victory at Greencastle. Mark Carson got the St.Patricks goal with Cahir McCullagh hitting four points. Final Score – Greencastle 1-6 Omagh 2-7
