A fantastic competition girls’ gaelic competition took place this week in Omagh girls and boys club. Teams from St Dympna’s PS Dromore, Tummery PS Dromore, St Macartan’s PS Dullaghan, St Oliver Plunketts Beragh, Loreto PS Omagh and St Patrick’s PS Castlederg battled for the right to play in the county finals.
After the group games the first semi final involving St Patrick’s PS Castlederg and St Macartan’s PS also went to extra time with St. Patrick’s winning out after a tightly fought contest. In the second semi final Tummery PS played Loreto PS with the match going to extra time, with Loreto PS winning on sudden death penalties. In the final St Patrick’s PS Castlederg overcame a brave Loreto PS and they now take their place in the county final.
