Eskra Emmetts entertained Pomeroy this afternoon in the Intermediate League and recorded a fine six point win over the Plunketts. The game finished 0-15 to 2-3 in favour of the home side who dominated throughout. They restricted Pomeroy to a single score in the first half a goal from the penalty spot ten minutes in but when the whistle sounded for half time Eskra were ahead 0-7 to 1-0. Conor Mc Girr, Shane Hackett, Ryan Gartland and Paul Meegan were on target for the home side in a dominant first half display. The second period saw no improvement from Pomeroy as once again the home side continued their fine form with impressive defensive displays from Adrian Scullion and Paul Marlowe. Peter Hughes and Conor Mc Girr continued to lead the Pomeroy rearguard a merry dance as they sent over eight points in a very impressive second half. Although Pomeroy managed to find the net it took them until four minutes from the end of the game to do so by which stage the match was well and truly over as a contest.
