Drumquin eclipsed Errigal Ciaran Thirds at Mc Girr Park in blustery conditions on Saturday evening with Eamon Teague bagging ten of his side’s seventeen points. Both sides finished this entertaining albeit one sided clash with fourteen men following a couple of straight red cards in the second half.
Errigal’s Aidan Quinn did find the net for his side but with Danny McSwiggan, Matthew Walsh and Liam Patterson controlling the play and Teague in fine scoring form Drumquin looked well in control of the game.
Paul Sheridan fired over a fine point after the break and he brought out a top class save from McAnenly when he closed in for a goal. Meanwhile at the other end it all became feisty prompting referee Brian McGinn to issue two reds. Errigal also lost Cathal Quinn with a serious facial injury.
Drumquin finished the game strongly with McSwiggan, Barry Gormley and Gary McConomy all in impressive form. Teague, Sheridan and the fleet footed Costin Mallon were on target for the home side in the second half. Jarlath Harte managed an Errigal point and two late Errigal frees from Michael Harte were all Errigal had to show for their thirty plus minutes of industry.
