County Youth Forum Advance Notice
All Clubs are asked to keep free Thursday 27th Oct when the now customary Youth Forum is scheduled to take place in Kelly’s Inn commencing at 7.15pm with registration.
All clubs are asked to ensure the Club Youth Officer, plus Club Coaching Officer and the Club Chairperson and Secretary are present.
Last season 43 Football Clubs and 3 Hurling Clubs were present for one of the best attended events of the year. It is hoped to build on the success of last year’s event by having maximum attendance from all clubs.
The Theme of this year’s Forum will be the introduction of the new title for Club Youth Officers following a change of rule at the Annual G.A.A. Congress.
From next year the new role of The Clubs Children’s Officer will now subsume the role and responsibilities of the Youth Officer position and will now hold the title of “Children’s Officer”. The Forum will give a complete breakdown of the additional aspects of the new role and will outline the new procedures for appointment of this key person within every club.
The Forum will also touch on a quick review of the season, plus a number of other important issues, one of which will be the New Club Coaching Development Strategy where the new concept will be unveiled to all clubs.
So once again it is vitally important that every club is present. The Clár will start at 7.30pm sharp and will conclude at 9pm. Further Information will be released in the coming days to keep everyone up to speed.
