The outstanding weekend fixtures in Division 3 of the All County League saw a local derby between an improving Augher outfit and Errigal Thirds while table topping Cookstown took on Donaghmore Thirds.

After a close and relatively low scoring game Errigal came from two points down with two minutes remaining to snatch a draw against Augher who had led 0-7 to 0-3 at the break. Raymond Mc Elroy, Aidan Mc Elroy (2), Finnbar Mc Elroy (3), Tiernan Mc Elroy, Pascal Gormley (2) and Conor Hackett all landed points for Augher but they will be very disappointed with how they let a two point lead slip so late in the game. Fair play to a determined Errigal who fought right to the end to take something from the game. Daniel Blake top scored with 0-4 while Ciaran Mc Ginley (2), Mick Quinn, Ronan Mc Rory, Jimmy Harte and Aodhan Mc Cullough were also on target. Final score: Augher 0-10, EC3rds 0-10.

Cookstown went into their game knowing that a win would take them back to the top of the table level on points with Fintona. After a fairly comfortable contest against Donaghmore Thids the Fr Rocks claimed the points on a 1-14 to 1-1 score line having led at the break 0-6 to 0-1. Veteran Marty Murray bagged a brace while Michael Mc Elhatton (4), Conor O’Neill (2), Peter Mc Gurk (2), John Gilmore (2) and Callan Kelly (1-00)  were all among the scores for the Fr Rocks.
