Division One Wrap Up

It proved to be a great day for the sides at the wrong end of the division one table with Kildress and Greencastle both picking up their first wins of the campaign. The Wolfe Tones defeated Omagh at Gortacladdy 0-16 to 1-11 with Frank McGurk, Des Treacy and Damian Kelly among their points, Jason McAnulla among the points for the St.Endas with Joe McMahon getting their goal.

Greencastle played host to Errigal Ciaran and they emerged 2-12 to 1-10 winners with John McCullagh, Martin Conway and Cahir Mc Cullagh all on target. The two  former county minors hit 2-7 between them with Cahir Mc Cullagh the star of the show for the winners scoring 1-5 and John finishing with 1-2 to his name. Stefan Tierney got the visitors goal with Darren Canavan landing five points.

Coalisland continue to lead the way at the top of the table with Gerard Toner and Tiarnan O’Hagan getting their goals in a comfortable 3-16 to 1-8 win away to Moortown, Anthony Devlin the St.Malachys goal scorer.

Clonoe remain hot on their heels in second place but they had to pull out all the stops to beat Eglish at O’Rahilly Park. An early Patrick Doris goal ultimately proved to be the difference as it finished 1-10 to 0-10, Emmett Teague and Peter McCann among the points for their respective sides.

Derrylaughan won the Loughshore derby against Ardboe with Stephen McGrath getting the only goal as it finished 1-10 to 0-9. Liam Gervin and Shea Coney were among the points for the Kevin Barrys with Brian McGuigan and Michael Hagan on target for the Rossas.

Edendork made the short trip to Donaghmore and came away with a crucial 0-12 to 1-8 win with Darren McCurry, Brian McGuckin and Karl McGuckin among their points, Conor McGinn with the only goal of the game for the hosts with Shane Mulgrew among the points.

Defending champions Dromore had a comfortable win at home to neighbours Trillick with Hugh McNulty and Eoin McCusker getting goals and Ronan McNabb and Sean O’Neill featuring among the points as it finished 2-15 to 1-3, Shane Gormley with the St.Macartans’ goal with Philip McGrade getting a couple of points.
