The last two remaining unbeaten records in Intermediate football fell by the wayside this afternoon on a day when there were only two winners in the top seven in the table going into the fixtures namely Rock and Augher. Pomeroy were beaten at home by Urney with top scorer Johnny Lafferty grabbing both goals while eight Jamie Donnelly points helped Augher triumph 0-10 to 0-8 at home to Loughmacrory, Enda Ward with all but one of the visitors tally on a day when they missed a last gasp penalty which would have given them victory.

The St.Macartans are now level at the top of the table with Augher and they are also joined there by Rock who won away to Aghyaran. Aidan McGarrity and Colm McVeigh got Rock goals with Conor McCreesh weighing in with three points, Martin Penrose, Aidan Connolly and Caolan Dolan getting all of the St.Davogs’ tally between them. Galbally picked up their first points of the season when they defeated Edendork at home with the help of six Paul Rafferty points and goals from the Murphy brothers Mickey and Declan, Niall Morgan hitting 1-6 for the visitors with Harry Og Conlon their other goal scorer.

A Pete O’Neill goal proved to be the difference between the two teams as Gortin won at Killyman while Stephen O’Neill and Gareth McDermott  got the Clann na Gael goals in their win at Newtownstewart. Gareth Devlin hit 1-7 and Ryan Devlin, Anton Coyle and Paul Dillon all featured on the score sheet as Stewartstown came from behind to beat Eskra at home 1-18 to 2-8, Peter Hughes and Shane Hackett getting the Emmetts’ goals. The evening throw in at Sigerson Park saw Kildress beat Strabane 2-11 to 0-12 with Damian Kelly and Martin Grimes getting the Wolfe Tones’ goals and Des Treacy and Eoin Brannigan featuring among their points, John McLaughlin and John Paul Gallagher with all but two of the Sigersons’ points between them.
