While much of the talk recently among fans of Colleges football has been about Dungannon Academy’s chances of lifting The Mc Cormick Cup it is worth remembering that their near neighbours St. Joseph’s Donaghmore also have a very important fixture scheduled. The school has been working very hard at promoting Gaelic Football and their College teams have been building a bit of a reputation lately.

Following Ulster success last year they now find themselves in the final of The BT Faul Cup for the first time. It is a game their manager Donal Gallagher and team captain Darren Litter are confident they can win following an unbeaten season thus far. Their five point semi final victory over favourites Loreto College Coleraine has given the Donaghmore lads the self belief that they can go all the way in this tournament.Their opponents in the final are Aquinas Grammar School from The Ravenhill Road in Belfast and the game is fixed for St. Paul’s in Lurgan on Tuesday December 7th with a 12:00pm starting time. Referee is Stephen Murray.

Sponsors BT have been running a special online guess the score competition for the schools involved in Ulster Colleges GAA competitions and all concerned are looking forward to an exciting game weather permitting.
