Friday proved to be a disappointing day for Omagh CBS as they bowed out of both the Dalton and Brock Cups at the quarter final stage, both defeats coming at the hands of St.Pats Maghera. In the Dalton game in Ardboe it was nip and tuck going into the final quarter but the Derry lads then pulled away to win on a flattering 5-19 to 3-7 score line. In the Brock Cup there was heartache for the Tyrone lads as they were a point in front only for their opponents to score a goal with the last kick of the game to win 3-9 to 3-7. Sean McGale scored 2-1, Kevin Collins got 1-1 and Joe Colton and Cillian McCann got their scores on a day when they didn’t deserve to lose. It leaves St.Patricks Academy Dungannon as Tyrone’s sole representatives in both competitions with their Dalton game down for decision at the beginning of next week and their Brock Cup quarter final with Abbey CBS going ahead at Mullaghbrack on Wednesday.
