Drumragh completed the under 16 league and championship double when they defeated Stewartstown Harps thanks to a late, late goal from wing back Ryan Baxter.

The Harps will wonder just how they did not win this one as they dominated possession for long periods and looked the side most likely for the majority of the game.

After an entertaining first half scores from Rian Biggs and Michael Hughes helped put Stewartstown in a strong position at the break leading 0-5 to 0-3 with the Drumragh scores coming from Conor Gormley, James Fyffe and Aidan Mc Carney.

The second half continued in the same vein as Stewartstown created the better chances but found the Drumragh defence a tough nut to crack. However they did find the net with twelve minutes to go when Padraig Dorman capitalised on hesitation in the Sarsfields defence and in a tight game like this one a goal was always going to be a significant score.

Drumragh were on the front foot immediately and responded positively with a goal of their own. Ryan Baxter produced a superb flick to put Conor Gormley in space and the big midfielder finished with aplomb to draw the sides level. Both teams had chances to take the lead but solid defence was the order of the day as the game entered added time.

With time running out a speculative ball from Baxter was launched towards the square and in the sun deceived everyone before nestling in the back of the net as Drumragh took the lead for the first time.

Stewartstown had time and opportunities to level the game but unfortunately for them they came up short and Drumragh completed the Grade Three Under 16 double with Conor Gormley picking up the Ghost Pizza Player of the Match award. Final score Drumragh 2-8, Stewartstown 1-9.
