Edendork are still on course for a minor double after their 1-12 to 2-7 win over a determined Owen Roes side in Tuesday night’s semi final.

The East Tyrone lads opened the scoring through Ruairi Conlon in the second minute but points from Damian Mc Crossan and Jack Kelly put Owen Roes ahead after six minutes.

Cian Ferguson’s fine score drew the teams level five minutes later before Edendork midfielder Odhran Donnelly proved his worth once again to his team as his pace and ball carrying ability helped him create several good scoring chances. His 1-2 helped his team reach the break 1-4 to 0-3 in front.

The league champions continued to dominate possession after the restart with Ryan Mc Curry, Donnelly and Ruairi Conlon particularly prominent. However determined play from Oisin Dooher, Peter O’Flaherty and Danial Houston ensured Owen Roes remained in the game. A goal from Oran Roddy reduced the deficit to two points but four points in a row from Ferguson, Mc Curry (2) and Luke Ferguson put Edendork on top once again.

With Edendork leading by six it seemed the game was up but Owen Roes continued to drive forward with Conn Tinney, Adam Mc Elwee, Jack Kelly and Conor Devine really putting their shoulders to the wheel. Tinney finished a fine team move to the net before a last minute shot was cleared off the line by the diving Ruairi Conlon and seconds later when the whistle sounded it was Edendork who had made it through to a meeting with Beragh in next week’s final.
