Declan Mc Dermott’s commitment to the promotion of Camogie within Eire Og has been recognised as he was awarded with the Camogie Volunteer of The Year award.

Declan is not only a dedicated volunteer within the club he has been senior camogie manager for 2 years. In those 2 years he has taken a team that could barely field and turned them into Tyrone Junior champions for 2020. He has helped build a great squad of 30 players. The progress and improvement of the team has been unbelievable and this is solely down to Declan’s hard work and the way he prepared and managed each and every player in the squad.

Declan is also a dedicated committee member who never misses a committee meeting and assists with every club event. He has organised and overseen numerous fundraising initiatives throughout this very difficult year raising much needed funds for the club.

His value to the club is appreciated by all club members as he is always one of the first to volunteer for anything that needs done around the club.
