Eirgrid Player of The Year Award For Sean Óg Mc Aleer

Tyrone may have come up short in their attempts to reach the Under 20 All Ireland final but for one player at least there was the satisfaction in being named Eirgrid Ulster Player of the Year.
Gortin forward Seán Óg McAleer received the accolade following a highly impressive year that saw him lead the line as his team picked up the Phillip Mc Guinness Cup and the provincial U20 title. In that game they defeated a highly fancied Derry side with Mc Aleer once again outstanding at full forward.
The Gortin man has been something of a slow burner in terms of county football but anyone who saw him play for his club last year would have realised there was a real talent there. He was a nominee for a Teamtalkmag Allstar in 2018 and one of the most impressive forwards in Intermediate club football.
Congratulations to Seán Óg on this award and we look forward to watching his continued development.
