Holders Errigal Ciaran made it through to the last eight of the Tyrone championship after a 0-17 to 0-9 win over Killyclogher at Healy Park on Thursday night.

Errigal Ciaran greeted the short whistle 0-7 to 0-4 in front. County attacker Ruairi Canavan weighed in with three points with his brother Darragh and keeper Darragh McAnenly also on target. They could have been further in front had it not been for a superb stop by Killyclogher keeper Simon O’Neill midway through the half.
Killyclogher had plenty of possession particularly in the second half but their final ball let them down with former Tyrone players Tiernan McCann, Mark Bradley and Conall McCann all on target. They missed numerous chances and a spurned goal opportunity from Mark Hayes when they tried by three let Errigal off the hook.
Over the course of the second half Tommy Canavan hit three points with Ruairi Canavan taking his personal haul to 0-6 as the reigning champions eased through by eight points in the end.
