Excellent Displays By Handballers In Tucson

The news from the 56th US National Junior Championships taking place in Tucson is further evidence of the healthy state of Tyrone Handball. Top of the tree and number one in the world at under 13 is Eilise Mc Crory who won all three of her round robin games to claim the title while her team mate Maeve Mc Elduff was placed number two in the world in the under 15 section following her terrific performance during the tournament.
Gutsy displays from Pol Clarke, Sean Kerr, Gabhain Mc Crystal, Johnny Woods and Matthew Mc Cartan in the various singles competitions were backed up by some superb Doubles matches and at this stage Clarke, Woods and Mc Crystal are still in with a chance of achieving further success in their Doubles Competitions. Congratulations to all involved in this very successful exhibition of the strength and growth of Handball in Tyrone.
