Cathal McCarron top scored in Cookstown tonight with 1-3 to ease St Enda’s to an easy enough win over the Fr Rock’s. The St Enda’s men led at the break 0-4 to 0-2, Matthew Carberry and Barry Potter on target for the home team. Omagh started brightly in the second half and quickly stretched their lead thanks to a McCarron goal a points from John McPeake and Conan Grugan. A Paddy Kelly point and a Matthew Carberry goal did give the home team some hope midway through the second half but it was the St Enda’s men thanks to the accuracy of Grugan and McCarron that eased over the line. Elsewhere in Division 1 Killyclogher played out a 0-10 to 0-10 draw against county champions Coalisland. Meanwhile Killyclogher and Coalisland played out a very competitive 0-10 to 0-10 draw at Ballinamullen. The home side will feel just a little disappointed having led by three at the break 0-7 t0 0-4 with Tiernan Mc Cann and James Carlin among the scorers for the home side. Indeed it took a late free from Mc Cann to level the game for the home side.
