Galbally Ladies Defeat Beragh To Make Semi

Galbally began the game like a team in a hurry scoring 2-1 early on with their goals coming from Rachel Kelly and Ciara Kelly and Catherine Walker hitting the first point of the game. There were some great scores from both teams. Niamh Donnelly, Sarah Quinn and Justina Mulgrew really stamped their authority on the game with some excellent defensive and attacking play. Beragh got back into the game with two goals on the bounce but Galbally responded positively with Catriona Kerr, Claire McKeown, Catherine Walker hitting points to send Galbally in at the break leading by three.

After the restart Galbally extended their lead with a brace of goals from Ciara Kelly. The Galbally defence coped well with the Beragh forward line with some brilliant defending from Maire McElhone and Michelle McGuigan.

Galbally continued to make hay and Claire McKeown kicked the Pearses point to extend their lead. Beragh refused to give up and kicked the final two points of the game to Record their their first championship win game in seventeen years.
