Gavin Top Scorer In Division Two

Derrytresk’s Niall Gavin has celebrated his first season playing in Intermediate football by topping the Begleys Sports division two league scoring charts. He finished twenty three points ahead of Stewartstown’s Gareth Devlin with last season’s winner Kevin Mossey a further three adrift. Galbally’s Paul Rafferty had been in second place going into the final three league games and only a point adrift of Gavin but a cruciate knee injury ended his campaign. Stephen O’Neill’s superb thirteen point haul last weekend saw him finish in the top ten with County colleague Johnny Lafferty also finishing in the leading places after a late surge.
