Former Tyrone star Connor McAliskey’s first taste of Intermediate football proved to be to his liking as he weighed in with 1-7 in Clonoe’s win over Clogher to become the D2 Hotshot for R1. Ronan McHugh returned to action for Aghyaran and his 1-6 helped them to a fine win at home to Derrylaughan while Johnny Harkin’s 1-4 wasn’t enough to prevent Tattyreagh from losing narrowly at Naomh Eoghan. Conor Owens, Tomas Hoy, Martin Rodgers, Brian McGarvey, Sean Cavanagh and Mark Roarty all featured in the Hotshots list as the Intermediate League got off with a bang.
