 Scór Sinsear – County Finalists – Sunday 20th February 2011 – Galbally

It’s a hectic weekend ahead for the Scór movement here in Tyrone.  On Saturday night the Scór na nÓg All Ireland Final takes place in the Theatre Royal in Castlebar. There are three contestants from Tyrone competing for coveted All Ireland titles. An Ómaigh N Éanna are respresented in Rince Foirne and Aithriseoireacht competitions while Éadan na dTorc N Mealshachlain are competing in Ceol Uirlise. The standard of competition in an All Ireland Scor Final is always high but Tyrone has three strong competitors in these disciplines and hopefully our young representatives can do themselves proud with their performances over the weekend.

On Sunday afternoon the cream of the local Scór Sinsear talent will be on show in the Scór Sinsear County Final which is being held in the Community Centre in Galbally starting at 3.00 pm sharp admission £6:00. A Tyrone County Final in Scor is always worth seeing and a large crowd is expected on Sunday with every one of the eight disciplines sure to be fiercely contested.

The winners in Sunday’s County Final will then go on to represent Tyrone at an Ulster Semi Final to be held in the Dún Uladh Centre in Killyclogher on Friday 25th February at 8.00 pm. The Ulster Final of Scór Sinsear will follow quickly on 12th March in Abbey Grammar School in Newry with the All Ireland Finals in Killarney on Saturday 9th April.
