In Grade 1Cappagh produced a fine display to get the better of Trillick. Charlie Meenan [2] and Tiya O’Neill got the winners goals with Louis McFadden, Christy McCrory, Tom Morgan, Meenan and O’Neill all landing points.

 

Loughmacrory made the trip to Pearse Park to take on Galbally and at the final whistle the St.Theresas had eight points to spare. Lorcan Meenagh, Ciaran McCrystal, Micheal McCrystal and Ruairi McNamee were among the scorers for the visitors with Eoin Kelly, Hugh Duff and Aidan McElduff all playing well too in a competitive encounter.

 

In Grade 2 Dromore proved too strong for a battling Greencastle side. Seonag Harte got Greencastle’s first goal when he reacted first to a Marcus Conway free that crashed off the crossbar. Seonag added another 1-1 with Tarlach Tracey 1-2, Sean McGlinchey 1-0, Marcus Conway 0-2 and Michael McElduff 0-1 their other scorers in a contest were half back Cailum McKenna also played well for the St.Patricks. Oisin Colton and Shea O’Donnell top scored for the St.Dympnas with 2-2 each while Emmett McQuaid and Tiernan McCarron both played well in the winners defence.

 

Goals proved to be the difference as Beragh overcame the challenge of Drumragh. Matty Meenagh [3], Oisin Porter [2] and Odhran Porter all found the net with Jack Devlin, Eoghan Loughran and Odhran Porter weighing in with points. Enda Lynch was excellent in goals for the Red Knights with strong performances also coming from Cathaoir Kelly, Aidy Farley and Eoghan Loughran. Conor Fyffe had a good game in midfield for a Drumragh side who battled to the end.

 

 

Fintona came out on top in a high scoring encounter at home to Donaghmore. Tomas Gallen 4-2, Ryan Fee 2-0, Dara McMenamin 0-4, Donnchadh Bennett 1-1, Igor Samulewicz 1-0, Cahir Cassidy 1-0, Senan Goodman 0-1 and Cahan McWilliams 0-1 were the scorers for the Pearses in a good all round team display.

 

 

In Grade 3 Eskra produced a fine display to get the better of Moortown. The Emmetts led by four at the short whistle thanks to 1-3 from Dara McGarvey and further scores from Cormac McGarvey and Daithi McNamee. Eskra began the second half strongly with James Scullion bagging a brace of goals and points coming from McNamee and Peadar Montague before Dara McGarvey got a further two majors. The winners also had good defensive displays from Jack Kelly, Micheal Donnelly and Conor McKenna.

 

Scores at both ends of the field were the order of the day as Naomh Eoghan had the minimum to spare over Tattyreagh, 8-11 to 7-13. Conor Doherty and Oran Gallagher were among the goals for the winners with Cahir McKenna and Aaron O’Lone contributing points. Naomh Eoghan trailed by nine points at one stage in the second half but crucial interceptions and tackles from Niall McGettigan, Oran Preston and Jay Devine along with some fine saves from keeper Sean McConnell saw them turn things around for a superb victory. Cormac Darcy didn’t deserve to be on the losing side with an unbelievable tally of 6-10 to his name with Gerry Teague also getting a goal with Tristan McKnight playing well also.

 

 

Strabane played some outstanding football in their win over Moy. Jamie Stewart with three majors, Haydn Williamson 1-1, Jamie McLaughlin 1-0 and points from Vaughn Hegarty, Luke McCay and big Liam Harpur were all on the scoresheet for the Sigersons. Five changes in personnel at the break didn’t stop the flow of the game with all of the substitutes playing their part and contributing to the result. Chair McCallion 2-1, Cathal Tinney 1-1, Harpur [2], Williamson [3], Stewart [2] and a goal from James Kerlin finishing the scoring. There was great tackling, plenty of turnovers and good passing and link play from midfield and of course scoring which all contributed to a very positive picture.

 

 

Both Domhnaigh and Rock played out a brilliant 3-16 to 5-10 draw at the weekend. Both Domhnaigh came from six down to earn a share off the spoils with key performances coming from midfielder Cillian Ellis [2-1], Jack McConnell, Shea O’Neill and Jamie Doherty.

 

Owen Roes helped lay the foundations for victory in the first half against Killeeshil. Ross Elliot 2-1, Jack McFadden 2-1, Daire Houston 0-2, Fintan Coyle 0-1 and Conall Kelly 0-1 all found the range. Lorcan Kelly tagged on 1-4 after the break with Fintan Coyle 0-3 and Conall Kelly 0-1 on target as well. It was a good team performance from all eighteen players used with Lorcan Kelly, Daire Houston and Ronan Ruddy to the fore. Jamie Connolly hit 1-1 for Killeeshil with Cathair Hughes getting their other goal with points coming from Eoghan Gormley and Charlie Hughes.

 

 

In Grade 4 Augher were unfortunate to come up against an inform Urney side. Daniel Gormley hit all of the St.Macartans total with good performances also coming from Matthew McKenna in defence, Broghan McKenna and Darragh Gormley.

 

In the Development League Errigal Ciaran had the minimum to spare against Omagh, 4-12 to 4-11. Mark McDermott 0-6, Conor McCrystal 1-2 and Finn Maguire 0-3 were among the scorers for the winners with good displays coming from Daniel Donnelly, Matthew McCrystal and Padraig O’Neill.
