Well the horse trading and the back scratching associated with the selection of the All Stars is now over and Tyrone received one award with left half back Philip Jordan being chosen. I am delighted for the popular Moy man who has returned from a debilitating injury this year to produce some fantastic football. He made his comeback in the league against Kerry and even that night looked as sharp as ever. Along with Martin Penrose he was Tyrone’s stand out player during the Ulster Championship but Philip managed to maintain his form right through to the end of his side’s campaign in the quarter finals and was rewarded with being chosen along with four Down men for the 2010 All Stars team. At the end of the day winning All Irelands is all that matters but recognition such as this All Star Award is acknowledgement that the Tyrone number seven is certainly one of the best players in the country.
