Ladies League Play-offs

Last weekend saw the conclusion to the Murphy’s Gaelic Gloves championships with wins for Moortown and Macartans. This weekend it was all about qualifying for the league finals with both Division One and Division Two semi finals down for decision.
Macartans were hoping last weekend’s celebrations did not take too much out of them and judging by the scoreline against Sperrin Óg it appears they are keen to make 2022 a double winning season. Goals from Paula Donnelly, Cathy Maguire, Marie Treanor and Chloe Mc Caffrey eased them to a 4-12 to 1-10 victory. Carrickmore saw off the challenge of Killeeshil to make the league final. They are sure to be tough opponents for Macartans and will enjoy the prospect of denying the Clogher Valley side a league and championship double.
In Division Two Omagh bounced back from their championship loss against Cappagh to get the better of Ardboe on a 3-7 to 1-7 scoreline. Meanwhile the Cappagh ladies themselves found Fintona too hot to handle and suffered a 7-15 to 2-11 defeat.
