A reminder of upcoming deadlines for Entry to a number of National Tournaments which will take centre-stage in the coming month…

• GAA Handball All Ireland 60×30 CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP Tournament: Please read latest information and pilot rules for this new-style promotional event and note the deadline of Friday 1st June 2012 for return of official form with county champions – to be submitted/signed by the County Secretary. Email to ceo.handball@gaa.ie on Friday 1st June 2012 in order to ensure entry.

• GAA Handball Irish 60×30 NATIONALS Doubles Tournament: GAA Handball Ireland launched the 60×30 Nationals in 2011 and this will continue in 2012 with the event also to be staged in venues in Kilkenny, Tipperary and Dungarvan. A number of grades have been included and all players must note the deadline date on the attached information sheet and entry form for the event. .

• M DONNELLY GAA Handball All Ireland Open Championships: Entry forms are now attached for the 2012 Mens and Ladies Open 60×30 Softball Championships and all officials and players should note that these must be returned through the County Secretary by the deadline date shown.

• GAA Handball Irish ONE WALL Nationals 2012: This will be staged as a Worlds Trials event in The Citywest Sports Arena in Dublin – the venue of the 2012 World Handball Championships. The One Wall courts to be constructed for the Worlds 2012 will be in place for this event as will four 4-wall 40×20 courts. The 40×20 Courts will be utilised for Féile na nGael from 5th-6th July and will be available for any member to book/play in on 7th-8th July. Entry forms and information on what promises to be another fantastic event are attached and again you are asked to ensure distribution to your members.

• Please note the ‘Volunteer Recruitment Initiative’ for the 2012 World Handball Championships is about to be launched and anyone who is interested in volunteering for what is set to be the ‘biggest international handball event in history’ is asked to do so via the official worlds 2012 website – www.worldhandball2012.com.

Full details, information brochure and entry forms for the 2012 World Handball Championships will be distributed in just over one week’s time with the Online registration process to go live on Monday 12th June 2012. Printed Entry Forms with full details are already available but exciting news and information will now be coming regularly as we countdown to this hugely anticipated event!

Spectator tickets are now available to purchase for the 2012 World Handball Championships on 5 & 10 Day tickets.

Finally, GAA Handball Ireland will be bringing a series of new digital promotional initiatives to all members and the public and these will be launched in June 2012 on www.gaahandball.ie. Please keep up to date with all official news and information on this site.

Packs with hard-copy printouts of all the above, together with entry forms and posters have been issued by post to Club and County Secretaries also.
