Coalisland, Edendork and Fintona Win Playoff Games.

So the big winners on a very exciting afternoon of football are Coalisland who qualify for the Division One league final, Edendork who after extra time make it through to face Augher in the Division One/two playoff final and Fintona whose comprehensive win over Brocagh sets up a meeting with Galbally in the Division Two/three playoff final. A busy day and although the football is over for the day the action continues at Dun Uladh in the second Scor na nOg semi final which gets underway at 5:00pm. We will have a roundup of all the results from Scor later this evening.

It is all over and Edendork win 0-20 to 1-12 with Darren Mc Curry helping himself to 0-10. Niall Morgan hits their last point of the game while Des Treacy gets the twelfth point of the day for Kildress. Sadly for them this result means a return to Intermediate football for the Wolfe Tones for 2013.

With four minutes to go it is 0-19 to 1-11 for Edendork with two great scores from Niall Morgan (45) and Darren Mc Curry. The young Tyrone forward has been on fire during the extra time.

Half time in extra time at Edendork and it has been the Darren Mc Curry show as he kicks four points for the home side and they lead at the break 0-17 to 1-11 with a Des Treacy free in the seventh minute of the half all Kildress have to show for their efforts.

Fintona scored a goal through Jason Donnelly to make it 2-11 to 0-6 but a late penalty from Paul O’Neill for Brocagh makes the final score 2-11 to 1-6 for Fintona and they can now look forward to a clash of The Pearses next weekend.

Extra time about to get started at Edendork, meanwhile Fintona lead 1-11 to 0-6 with points from Aaron Mc Carney and Mark Donnelly as we enter injury time.

Seven minutes left at Augher and two points from Aaron Mc Carney steady the ship for Fintona as they now lead 1-9 to 0-6.

Martin Grimes fisted point levels the game 0-13 to 1-10 and it is extra time at Edendork. The home side will be back to fifteen players.

Sixty minutes played at Edendork and the sides were level 0-12 to 1-8, a Des Treacy free levels it, but Stevie Gervin puts Edendork ahead, some argy bargy, a red card for Brian Mc Guckin. 0-13 to 1-9, deep in injury time.

Finishes at Coalisland 1-14 to 0-6 with Richard Thornton getting the last score of the game and the Fianna’a 100% league run continues.

Goal for Coalisland makes it 1-13 to 0-6, Stevie Curran the scorer. Meanwhile it is all square with four minutes to go at Edendork 0-11 to 1-8. Marty Grimes put Kildress in front but a fine fisted effort from Stevie Gervin levelled the game.

Brocagh coming back into the game at Augher with further points from Ciaran Donnelly and Colm Mc Fall 1-7 to 0-6 for Fintona but they are struggling to cope with a resurgent Brocagh. Fifteen minutes to go.

Eight minutes left at Coalisland and the Fianna lead by double scores 0-12 to 0-6. Cathal Mc Carron and Jason Mc Anulla on target for Omagh but the Curran brothers Stephen and Johnny replying for Coalisland.

One point between the sides at Edendork 0-9 to 1-7 after another Darren Mc Curry free. Matthew Heagney missed a great chance of a goal for Kildress. We are fifteen minutes into the second half and all to play for.

Fintona 1-7, Brocagh 0-4. Tommy Mc Grath again for Fintona with Ciaran Donnelly and Declan Hughes on target for the Emmetts. Six minutes gone in the second half.

It is still 0-9 to 0-4 for Coalisland with fifteen minutes gone in the second half. Omagh down to fourteen men following a straight red card for Conor Clarke.

Edendork 0-8, Kildress 1-7. Kildress scored two through Des Treacy and Martin Grimes before Niall Morgan floated over a wonder kick to leave two points between the teams with ten minutes gone in the second half.

Coalisland lead 0-9 to 0-4 now with a point from Brian Toner. The Fianna are playing some very good football here.

Almost five minutes into the second half at Edendork and the sides swap points. Eoin Brannigan for Kildress in the 32nd minute followed by a free from Darren Mc Curry two minutes later leaves it Edendork 0-7, Kildress 1-5.

The second half is under way at Coalisland and Stephen Mc Nally with a super score extends the home team’s lead to four points:0-8 to 0-4 in favour of Coalisland.

Fintona reach half time in a strong position leading 1-6 to 0-2. their last two scores coming from Bernard Cassidy and Niall Mellon while Eugene Ryan got Brocagh’s second point. This first thirty minutes are a complete reversal of the opening half in the championship when Brocagh dominated the play and the scores.

Half time at Edendork and the score there is Edendork 0-6, Kildress 1-4. A point from Brian Mc Guckin and a 55 metre free off the ground from Niall Morgan reducing the defecit. Martin Mc Reynolds in the Edendork goal with a brilliant save from Shane Kelly helping to keep his side in the game.

Half time at Coalisland and the home side lead 0-7 to 0-4 with further points coming from Eoin Carberry, Plunkett Kane and Niall Fox. Omagh’s reply a fine Jason Mc Anulla effort.

Fintona going well in their game. Tommy Mc Grath with a point, Padraig Bell with Brocagh’s first score of the game and then Aaron Mc Carney with a goal leaves the Pearses 1-4 to 0-1 in front with 22 minutes gone.

Edendork lead 0-4 to 0-3 after points from Gavin Treacy for Kildress and Darren Mc Curry for Edendork, twenty minutes gone. Mc Curry missed a great chance for a goal but blasted wide. Kildress respond with an Eoin Brannigan goal and a free from Frank Mc Gurk with 23 minutes gone Kildress lead 1-4 to 0-4.

Augher division three playoff and Fintona lead 0-3 to 0-0 following two good points from Tommy Mc Grath. The Pearses are very much on top but are not getting the scores their play deserves.

Fifteen minutes gone at Edendork and the home side lead 0-3 to 0-2. Frank Mc Gurk put Kildress two one up but a Darren Mc Curry free and a point from David Toner leaves it 0-3 to 0-2 in favour of Edendork.

Shane O’Neill draws Omagh level but a free from the boot of Brian Toner on twenty minutes puts Coalisland 0-4 to 0-3 ahead. Looks like it is going to be a close one.

Ten minutes gone at Edendork and it is 0-1 apiece with the Kildress score coming from a Frank Mc Gurk free. John Mc Guckin came close to finding the net with a fisted effort but was narrowly wide.

At Augher Aghaloo won the minor game defeating Tattyreagh 1-9 to 2-5. In the Division three playoff it is Fintona leading by a point four minutes in with Niall Mellon on target. Bernard Cassidy missed a great chance of a goal in their first attack.

Twelve minutes gone Coalisland lead 0-3 to 0-2 after two points from Omagh courtesy of Conan Grugan and Joe Mc Mahon but Eoin Carberry pops over the lead point for the home team. Coalisland have a strong penalty claim turned down.

Meanwhile over at Edendork four minutes gone there and Niall Norgan with a 45metre free opens the scoring:0-1 to no score for Edendork.

Six minutes into the Coalisland v Omagh game and the home side lead 0-2 to no score following two brilliant scores from Jason Carberry and Brian Toner. Justin Mc Mahon is playng but Paddy Mc Neice is not.

Two crunch games taking place this afternoon only a couple of miles apart but the prizes on offer for the winners are potentially huge in magnitude. One thing is for sure the game between Edendork or Kildress will see the losers relegated while at the other end of the table there is place in the league final at stake for the winners of the Coalisland and Omagh fixture. Over at Augher Brocagh and Fintona will clash for the right to play Galbally in the Division Two/Three promotion/relegation final.
