Pomeroy’s Frank Burns was the leading marksman in the opening round of the LCC SFC last weekend with 1-5 to his name although that couldn’t prevent his side from bowing out at the hands of neighbours Galbally after extra time. Liam Rafferty hit 2-1 for the Pearses in the same game while Darren McCurry’s 0-7, Lee Brennan’s 0-7 and Shay McGuigan’s 1-4 helped their sides overcome Moy, Donaghmore and Clonoe respectively.
