With snow forecast for the end of the week the Ulster Colleges have taken the step to bring the McCormick Cup final between St.Patricks Academy Dungannon and St.Michaels Enniskillen forward from Friday to Tuesday. The game has a 6.30 throw in and is an eagerly anticipated encounter between the two form sides in the competition to date. Dungannon are unbeaten so far and will start as favourites to win their first McCormick Cup title and in so doing keep the title in Tyrone for a third successive year following Omagh CBS’s back to back triumphs. While it would be nice to win the real action begins after Christmas when the quarter finals of the MacRory Cup take place. The draw for the last eight takes place in Belfast next Monday and one side who won’t be there are thirteen times winners St.Pats Maghera who lost out in a play off to neighbours St.Marys Magherafelt on Monday afternoon.
